Notes: The long beach of Lacona is well-known
for its magnificent sand dunes and excellent tourist facilities; a
true paradise for all water sports enthusiasts.
The many tourist structures in the area include: camping sites, hotels,
restaurants, apartments and numerous shops. The beach is situated
in the Gulf of Lacona, encompassed by two verdant "peninsulas":
Capo Stella and Capo Fonza. Further out to sea, the sand gives way
to a rocky seabed and submarine garden of posidonia, ideal for scuba-divers.
Lacona is easily reached by car and there are good parking facilities.
Alternatively, there is a bus service from Portoferraio to Lacona. |
