Getting to know the wines and cuisine of Elba

Elba Island offers a plenty of activities in addition to the sea and beaches: opportunities to get to know the island's territory, nature with fauna and flora, typical vines and wines, local cuisine. All things to do, ideal for spending a day on Elba as a couple, with the family, or during a rainy day.

Visiting a winery is a great way to get to know the typical grapes of the Elba DOC, such as Vermentino for white wines and the famous local sweet wine Aleatico dell'Elba DOCG, obtained from the most famous native grape variety.

With a Jeep tour among the vineyards of the Island of Elba, grasp the characteristics of the Elban soil, generally poor in organic matter and therefore well suited to the production of quality grapes and particularly aromatic wines.

In these off-road excursions it is common to meet the fauna: butterflies (to which a sanctuary is dedicated), peregrine falcons, wild goats and hares.
